As Vicki writes on her Facebook page, “I was the lead vocalist and percussionist for the Tonight Show Band from 1992 to 2009. Doing the same thing, just more of it on the Jay Leno  Show from Sept. 2009 to Feb 2010, then the Tonight Show again until May  28th, 2010. then....?”

Currently, Vicki is touring with Mavis Staples.

Vicki is a talented vocalist, songwriter, AND SHE PLAYS GUITAR (among other instruments)! 

And we are glad she does!

Vicki sent us silver conchos with a touch of turquoise from one of her favorite straps that had seen better days.  We made her a custom strap using those conchos and over thirty hand cut pieces of leather.  This allowed us to build the strap and attach the conchos while keeping an overall clean look and the back of the strap free of any bulges from the conchos.

When Vicki received the strap at the studio, she wrote, “Really outstanding work.  Everyone here who’s seen it has remarked on it.  You really outdid yourself.  Now I guess I have to book a whole bunch of gigs so it gets broken in.”
