A few months back, Terry L. Misner, owner of Action Custom Straps , contacted me in response to an email that I had sent him. He wanted to know if I was interested in a link exchange and possibly a review of his guitar straps.

Sending so many emails out and not remebering who Action Custom Straps was, the first thing I did was jump on his site to check them out. And what I saw were some really gorgeous looking guitar straps. Very different then those "pressed out of a mold" looking straps that you would normally see in a guitar shop!

After a few email correspondences back and forth, a few of Terry’s jokes, we finally set the review up for September. Terry gave me an option of picking out a strap from the site. Or, if I wanted, I could send him a picture of the guitar I wanted the strap for, and he would come up with something. Not really sure what I wanted, I sent him a picture of my Strat. He asked for a few details; the measurement of my old strap from end to end, and would I mind Python?

A week or so went by, and what I got in the mail was one of the most beautiful guitar straps I had ever laid eyes on. This strap was crafted from the finest garment black leather, double stitched and trimmed in the center with real python skin. (See above picture) To even take it a step further, Terry had hand painted the center design of the python to exactly match the sunburst on my FMT cherry flame Strat! Not only was this well made and masterfully crafted, but truly a work of art!
